The local agent installs Strata and controls cooling on its own
By voice via Telegram, the Hermes agent changed Strata in its own working brain, installed it on a clean machine and solved the problems itself, set up GPU fan control by temperature and spotted a faulty prototype without being asked.
While waiting for Strata 0.2.0, we ran a series of small practical experiments with the Hermes agent running on local AI. Everything was done using voice messages through Telegram.

Hermes modified the Strata installation that serves as its own working model, while continuing to work on it.
Installing Strata on a clean machine
A first-time installation with Qwen3.8-Next IQ3_S. Problems appeared during the process; Hermes diagnosed and solved them on its own and completed the installation without manual intervention.
GPU fan control by temperature
A small task for the local AI: analyze the system, identify the fan that cools the GPU and configure its control based on the GPU temperature. Then scale this to another identical prototype. Without any questions or hints, the agent noticed that one of the prototypes had problems.
Watching for new releases
The agent was then set up for Level 1, Level 2 and Level 3 machines. All three of its Strata instances now watch for new releases by coldniko around the clock.
What this means for a Box customer
- Installation and repairs of the software stack can be handled by the agent.
- Cooling is configured from real sensor data.
- Problems on a machine can be reported before anyone asks.
