A local AI agent that looks after server security
When a critical vulnerability (PwnEscape) worried server owners, our local AI agent checked the real risk, installed the available patches, set up monitoring and automated future updates. Nothing about the infrastructure was sent to the cloud.
PwnEscape was reported as a critical vulnerability, and server owners were worried. Our approach: a local AI agent that takes care of its own server and of the other local servers.
- Checks the real risk.
- Installs the available security patches.
- Monitors vulnerabilities.
- Automates future updates.
It took one simple prompt; the agent handled the rest. We deliberately asked the questions as an ordinary user with no technical knowledge, and received a thorough analysis. Everything ran locally and securely, without sending any data about our infrastructure to the cloud.
One more instruction for the agent
Monitor new critical vulnerabilities in real time. If there is no way to patch or protect against them, automatically shut down the exposed services. This is much faster than a person reading the news and reacting manually.
What this means for a Box customer
- Security checks and patches can be requested in plain language.
- Information about the infrastructure stays on the local machine.
- Monitoring keeps working at night and at weekends.
